Curriculum Vitae

Monica Beals is a second-year graduate student in the social and personality psychology program at UCR. She earned her BS in psychology from University of Arizona, and her MA in clinical health psychology from Northern Arizona University. Monica is examining chronic pain through a psychological lens by exploring online social networks, flow, and mindfulness as methods to cope with or manage chronic pain. When not engaging in academic tasks, Monica enjoys playing ukulele and trumpet, completing jigsaw puzzles, and leisurely reading.
Monica is co-advised by Dr. Kate Sweeny and Dr. Megan Robbins.
