Sara Andrews is a fifth year graduate student in the social and personality psychology program at UCR.  She received a BA in sociology from the University of California, San Diego, where she also minored in psychology and studio art, and she completed her MA in social psychology at San Diego State University where the topic of her thesis was “Wise Optimism and Well-Being: Are Optimistic Predictions Always Best?”  Sara is continuing research on expectations about the future, and expanding into preparedness behaviors and decision-making processes related to health, well-being, and end-of-life care. In her spare time, Sara enjoys getting outside with her husband and dogs, as well as yoga, rock climbing, and reading.
