Sophia is a first-year graduate student in the Social/Personality Psychology Ph.D. program at UC Riverside. She received her A.A. in Psychology from Clovis Community College in 2022 and graduated with her B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Fresno in 2024. With research interests in uncertainty and waiting, Sophia would like to explore the emotion of impatience that arises when faced with an objectionable and often uncertain delay. She is also interested in understanding the regulatory process of patience and hopes to contribute to the larger body of research that aims to reconceptualize patience. In her free time, you can find Sophia crocheting, reading, listening to music while enjoying a walk, or trying a new cafe in town.
